1. If I am a YMCA member, is there a discount for classes such as swimming, gymnastics, aerobics?
Member fees are greatly discounted, non-member programs fees are double or more than member fees.
2. Since you have more than one facility, and I only want to join one are there separate rates for Woodland and the Natatorium (pool)?
No, a membership now includes the use of all facilities.
4. Do you have competitive youth sports teams?
We have both an excellent Boys & Girls Swim, and girls only Gymnastics Teams. The Gymnastics team competes against other YMCA and in YMCA League, District, Zone and National Championships. The swim team also has many swimmers competing in USS Meets.
5. What are the benefits of becoming a YMCA Member?
Excellent programs and facilities, you meet and develop friendships with individuals with similar values and lifestyles, a friendly, caring staff, asset building programs for youth and families, safe nurturing youth programs, and substantial discounts on programs fees, just to mention a few.
6. Since you have many program centers, what is offered at each site?
Woodland
Excellent separate staffed Youth and Adult Wellness Centers, with Cardio-Vascular and Strength Training Machines, in the adult free weights, Gymnasium, (2) Racquetball Courts, Aerobics studio (a variety of classes kick boxing, yoga to spinning, and many beginning level classes), Clubhouse Kids (before and after school program focusing on homework help, healthy snacks, cardio-vascular games, and us of the Youth Wellness Center.
Ellen Shapiro Natatorium
One of the finest 50 meter aquatic facilities in the country, with programs for the whole family. Lessons for pre-schoolers through seniors. Youth and Masters competitive swimming, lap swimming all day long, scuba, diving lessons, and much more.
The Spot!
Community Youth Center for children and teens grades 4-12. With assets building programs such as; Leaders Club, GIRLS Club, Poetry Corner, Don’t Argue Debate, Arts Programs, and Sports clinics & leagues.
Gymnastics Center
With spring floor, multiple beams and bars, vaults, and other instructional equipment. Pre-school thru a very accomplished competitive team, cheerleading classes, and much more.
LuK Launch Pad Day Care
YMCA-managed day care center located in LuK's state-of-the-art LuK Academy. Serves children infant through grade six.
