A Place of Prayer

OUR STORY
The BooKafé opened its first doors in 2009. From 2010 on it spread significantly to many places in the world.

The BooKafé started with a very special feeling that came from God Himself – which is to save all men through His life and nature, so that this life can grow in man, who can then cooperate with God in His kingdom. (1 Tim. 2:4; John 10:10; John 3:16; Rev. 5:10)

In fact, this feeling has for many years been in the heart of many saints who voluntarily consecrated themselves for the word of God to become accessible to all men.

We know that the Bible is the most sold book in the world. But many people still do not have an adequate understanding of its contents. The Tree of Life Publishing House (Editora Árvore da Vida) was established with the aim to publish books “that explain the Bible”, bringing its revelation to light, which helped, helps and will continue to help many Christians.

This is why many BooKafés are being opened in different places (300 establishments up to April 2013). Dozens of Christians who were helped by the revelation of God’s word give their time, so that in this informal surrounding – which is open all day and offers a variety of dishes ­ many who do not yet know God’s plan can be drawn to enjoy the true food which is the word of God. This healthy atmosphere also includes a place for praying, holding Bible studies and reading in groups as a spiritual help to its visitors.

Objectives

The word BooKafé, clearly shows its main objective:

BooK: the word “book”
Fé: the word “faith” in Portuguese, which is the content of God’s economy (His eternal plan)

God’s eternal plan is recorded in His word, the Bible.

The BooKafé’s main objective is for people to have access to the Bible and to books that explain God’s eternal plan in a simple and objective way.

Thus, this project aims to reach Christian and non­Christian families through a pleasant environment, so that besides savoring a delicious cup of coffee they can be led to faith by the word of God printed in books.
