TEDxSwarthmore is a local, independently organized event at Swarthmore College under license from TED. We try to bring the unique experience found at TED, and bring together fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes or less). Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” TEDxSwarthmore is designed to give the Swarthmore community and friends the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level in a compact, exciting fashion.
The theme for TEDxSwarthmore this year is “What Makes a Good Society?” Our audience will consist of Swarthmore students, faculty, staff, friends, parents and special guests. On Saturday, March 31, 2012, Swarthmore will become an avenue for sharing inspiration, innovation and motivation.
