The Muskingum County Community Foundation (MCCF), the Artist Colony of Zanesville, and ZOCA (Zanes- ville Ohio Ceramic Arts) are partnering with the Potters Council, the membership organization of ceramists worldwide, to present the Zanesville Prize for Contemporary Ceramics, the largest best of show prize in ceramics in the Western Hemisphere. The first Zanesville Prize of $20,000 will be awarded on Friday October 10, 2014. An additional $10,000 in prizes will be awarded to other successful competitors. This event is the first of an annual competition for the Zanesville Prize.

The Zanesville Prize for Contemporary Ceramics show will be held in downtown Zanesville with a preview re- ception for sponsors on Friday evening, September 26, 2014. The public will be invited to the show from 1 pm to 6 pm each day at Seilers’ Studio & Gallery beginning Saturday, September 27th.
