Hi, I am Dan Dewater, the owner of Hangtown Body Shop in Placerville and now A1 Bumper Center and Automobile Reconditioning in Shingle Springs. I am thrilled to continue a customer service grounded business.

I wrecked my first car (actually my older brothers wife’s car) when I was 16, and to avoid a big brother beating, I promised I would fix it and make it better than it was before. I learned how to fix that first car from auto instructor Chuck Brought in the Ponderosa High School ROP program and I have been fixing cars ever since.
