Service to Military Families . . . Military personnel and their families count on the Red Cross to help them through emergencies. We have 24-hour service for verification for emergency leave, health and welfare inquiries, referrals, and counseling to individuals and families.
Health Services . . . People learn how to save lives and respond to emergencies as well as to lead healthier, safer lives through Red Cross training in First Aid, Water Safety, CPR, and Babysitting. Other vital health services include traffic safety, educational talks and demonstrations to community groups, and AIDS Education programs and materials.
Disaster Response . . . Red Cross provides food, clothing, and shelter. Families affected by disaster are given a 24-hour on-call response network providing immediate help in any disaster or emergency.
Disaster Preparedness/Planning . . . Individual and community safety is enhanced because the Red Cross works with community leaders and emergency service agencies to plan and prepare for disaster.
Disaster Prevention . . . Families are safer because of Red Cross fire prevention programs for schools, businesses, and community events using Disaster Dudes, the Fire Safety House, the Tools or Toys Program and various educational materials.
