The American Wheelchair Society (AWS) established on June 6th, 2013 by Founder Andrew M. Walker, is a nonprofit organization Out of Atlanta Ga leading an national effort to create awareness of the needs and abilities of people with physical disabilities in wheelchairs to promote Community News & Information the joy of living, create friendship, and deliver our rights in wheelchair to every child, teen and adult in America. A mobile child is able to attend school. A mobile adult is able to get a job and provide for their family or care for the children at home so the spouse can work. An elderly person can rejoin society or family activities after years of staying in bed. The joy and hope that mobility can deliver is what gives people a new outlook on life and hope for the future. For those people, the American Wheelchair Society delivers
Hope, Mobility, and Freedom.
