Argentine Silver City Day Celebration - 913-201-1227

The celebration of the 79th anniversary of Silver City Day is on October 4, 2014.

Argentine was incorporated as a city in 1882 and annexed by Kansas City, Kansas in 1910. It was know for having one of the nation's largest smelting operations which specialized in the production of silver. As a result it was called "Silver City". We acknowledge the anniversary of Silver city Day to celebrate the achievements of the Argentine Community.
We can celebrate the end of the Argentine food desert with the construction of the SavALot Grocery store. Opening is expected soon. More retail development is on its way as well. Walmart is expected to start constructions soon on a new Walmart in Argentine. This retail development will come with the development of more retailers as neighbors.
New affordable Energy Star homes have been constructed and provide housing for families.
Good quality affordable senior housing is also being developed in Argentine.
Good things are happening in Argentine giving us GREAT reasons to celebrate!
