Artist-Loft is an art supply store conceived and created to complement Provincetown’s rich history in the arts.
Provincetown has a rich and diverse history marked by the Pilgrim’s first landing in the new world in 1620, the creation of America’s oldest continuous arts colony and the birthplace of modern American theater.
Soon after Charles Webster Hawthorne arrived in Provincetown in 1899, he founded the Cape Cod School of Art, where for the following 30 years he taught painting. Artists come to Provincetown for the beautiful light, natural landscapes and rustic scenes. Today Provincetown remains a haven for artists in every medium - painting, sculpting, theater, writing, music and more.
As the summer of 2013 gets underway, we are very pleased and excited to announce the Artist-Loft -- an art supply store that complements Provincetown’s artists and the town's rich history.
