Michelle Sherman, BFA (College for Creative Studies - Detroit)

Noted for her exceptional paper animal sculpture, an Otter constructed from simple materials including paper bags, paint, and staples, Michelle's first grade teacher discovered her creative potential.
Upon her teacher's recommendation, her parents supported her artistic growth by enrolling her in art classes, including private lessons in drawing, painting, and mixed media. This love of art exploration continued through High School, as she was able to achieve scholarships to both the Columbus College of Art and Design and the College for Creative Studies where she earned her BFA.
Michelle is continually inspired to create in painting, pastels, mixed media, clay, fibers, and photography.
