Here at Backwoods Poultry our commitment is to have happy healthy chickens and to preserve as many heritage and endangered chicken breeds as possible. We carry a small variety of standard and bantam chickens, but our ultimate goal is to carry a variety of heritage breeds and rare or endangered poultry breeds. We currently have a line of Heritage Rhode Island Reds from the Reese Mohawk line. Their history can be traced back to the original line for more than 90 years. We also participate in the National Poultry Improvement Plan and are certified AI clean.
