Bark n’ Purr Sedona's premier Grooming and Pet boarding kennel opened it’s doors for business on December 22nd 1976. Joel Oestmann discovered his love of animals after working for a veterinarian throughout his 4 years of high school decided to attended veterinarian school but after a year of college he had the opportunity to become the manager of the kennel and three years later purchased the business.

Joel married his wife Jana in 1979 she had gone to grooming school and became the manager of the grooming portion of Bark n’ Purr. Joel and Jana knew that the grooming business and boarding would compliment one another in the business greatly..

Together with their love for animals they have strived to insure that both client and pet have the best experience as possible.

With love for animals and attention to detail for each pets individual needs, they and their staff are dedicated to the animals happiness and safety. At Bark n’ Purr your animals will be loved as one of their own and the clients will be treated like part of the family.



Bark n’ Purr Pet Care Center has been owned and operated by Joel & Jana Oestmann for over 35 years. It’s a great family environment for your beloved pets. The faculty has a cooling system for the summer times and in floor heating for the winters. The animals have inside and outside views. All individual runs, but can visit with their neighbors anytime day or night.
