Our Story

Located only two miles from the center of town you’ll find Bella Mattina Bed & Breakfast, an 1850’s remodeled farm house resting in a 100 year old oak canopy with a beautiful view of Sleepy Creek Mountain. It offers two spacious and distinctly different rooms on the second floor with touches of local artistry in each. For people who are adventurous and like an outdoor experience, there’s a private shower nestled in the 40 ft. evergreens

You’ll enjoy the ambiance of the Stone Room with wrap-around windows that seem to invite the outside in, skylights and a stone fireplace – another enjoyable spot for relaxing, playing games, reading and conversation. The Bella Mattina country kitchen is available for guests to store food and drink and to prepare small fare.

Bella Mattina is a joy in all seasons! Relax and experience the comfort and peace of the Three Seasons Porch, or enjoy the variety of views from the wrap-around deck – a favorite being the Garden View. Guests visiting Secondo can enjoy a hot jacuzzi on cold winter nights, while visitors staying in Primo can snuggle by a warm fire in the privacy of their room.

Outdoor enthusiasts can hike year round, snow shoe or cross country ski on the 10 acres of open fields and woods, a National Wildlife Certified habitat, that surround Bella Mattina. On any given night you’ll find Leo tending to a bonfire (his specialty) under the oaks and be welcomed to join us for conversation, relaxation and roasting marshmallows.

Reservations guaranteed by one night advanced lodging with a 2 night minimum required. One night stay when available.

Cancellations:

• Weekend cancellations require one week notice. Mid week require 72 hour notice.
• If cancellations are not made within required time the full amount will be charged to credit card.
• No shows will be charged for the entire reserved stay.
• Rates quoted have been discounted 5% for cash. Payment by credit card add an additional 5%.
• We accept Visa and Master Card
