Hello Everyone!

My name is Brooke Blaalid and I am a Yankton City Commissioner. The postings/messages/views that I share on this page are my own personal views and do not represent the City of Yankton.

The reason ran for the commission in April 2013 was because I have a strong belief in civic engagement and I love the community of Yankton.

We currently live in a community where 20% of our population is 65+ years of age and 20% of population is 20-34 years of age. Smaller communities all across the nation are losing their young population to larger cities for multiple reasons: employment, education, shopping, entertainment, no connection to the community, ect.
