Blue Tomato Kitchen is the latest restaurant in the Baruthio family portfolio. Chef Baruthio has opened up a casual italian, open-kitchen restaurant for the greater Des Moines area. Blue Tomato Kitchen brings affordable Italian cuisine without sacrificing quality. Our menu contains fresh in-house pastas, stone cooked pizzas, local ingredients based in the Italian traditions with Chef Baruthio’s French influences. The 60-top dining room, full bar, and open-kitchen space is located on the corner of 63rd and Grand, on the border of West Des Moines and Des Moines to serve both downtown and the suburbs.
