A FREE festival celebrating the unique birding opportunities in the NC High Country!
FREE! On Saturday, April 25, 2015, the 2nd Annual Boone Birding Festival will take place in Valle Crucis Community Park, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Enjoy birdwalks through the large park, around the pond and along the bank of the Watauga River. Talk to area birding experts about the bluebird nesting box project in the park. Park amenities include a picnic shelter, playground equipment, paved walkways, and ball fields.
