Bryan King is a fourth generation family member to operate one of the oldest grist milling companies in North Carolina. As a businessman with close ties to agriculture, he will bring his conservative business values of integrity, trust, and fiscal responsibility to the County Commissioner office.

Vested in the community, Bryan King has served on the boards of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, Foothills Connect – Farmers Fresh Initiative, Pangea, and Adaville Baptist Church deacon board. He served for three years on the founding Board of Lake Lure Classical Academy. He also served on the Board of Directors at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy for six years which included experience on many executive committees including financial committee, facilities committee, grievance committee, personnel committee, and legal affairs committee. For four of his six years on the board of Thomas Jefferson, he served as the school board chairman.

Instrumental in hosting governance training for Western North Carolina school boards during each of the past four years, Bryan King has the board experience and training to serve as our next county commissioner.

A graduate from the School of Business at East Carolina University, Bryan is an advocate for Education, Economic Development and Quality of life.

Bryan and his wife, Kristi, have a young daughter and they like to spend their free time on a local area equestrian farm and at equestrian events.
