Find 5-star Bavarian food at Cafe Bahnhof in tiny Waynoka, Oklahoma.
Waynoka might be the last place you'd expect to find an authentic German restaurant, but owner Dieter Dorner has made his quaint little eatery a slice of Bavaria in northwest Oklahoma. Start your meal in a warm pretzel and mustard appetizer before moving on to more hearty fare such as the grilled lamb chops, the jaeger schnitzel or the forelle, which features pan-fried rainbow trout with seasoned rice, stir-fried brussels sprouts and a horseradish dip. The dining room is cozy and inviting, and there's even a beer garden where guests can enjoy an extensive list of bar offerings, including, of course, a number of German beers.
Enjoy a meal at Cafe Bahnhof to experience German food at its finest, a pleasant surprise in the small northwestern Oklahoma town of Waynoka. Try hand-crafted German sausages, authentic German beers, schnitzels and bratwursts among other delights. Be sure to try the rahm schnitzel, a customer favorite.
