Nature Awareness Learning Center
Camp Tonkawa was founded by the Holtzman family in 2002. It's on a 35-acre certified wildlife refuge, about one hour north of Dallas. The woods of oak and juniper have plenty of trails, plus we have a small creek, fishing pond, swimming pond, pasture area, organic garden, barn, long house teaching area, straw bale arts & crafts building, rain water collection tank, and outdoor solar showers.
Camp Tonkawa Outdoor Learning Center offers classes and workshops throughout the year. Camp activities include:
