Our farm was the Yerington Dairy from the 1920's to 1947. Our family bought the farm in 1947.
Yerington has 50,000 acres of farmland. In that acreage, Yerington produces 1/4 of Nevada's agricultural products.
Our farm used to grow two hundred eighty acres of organic alfalfa. Now our farm is divided into a small four acre garden and a larger two hundred seventy-six acre farm. In the garden we grow: Potatoes, Pumpkins, Yellow Zucchini, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Corn, Tomatoes, etc. In the farm we grow: Onions, Garlic, and Organic Alfalfa.
We attend the farmer's markets in Reno, Sparks, and Minden. At our Farm's Market Stand we also sell Organic: Beets, Beans, Banana Squash, Carrots, Tomatoes, Arugala, Spinach, etc.
Now we have opened a RoadSide Stand in Yerington. Located at #5 North Highway 95A, Yerington NV 89447. We are open Wednesday through Sunday 9-6pm. Selling all the same great vegetables.
"Whoever makes two ears of corn, or two blades of grass to grow where only one grew before, deserves better of mankind, and does more essential service to his country than the whole race of politicians put together." - Jonathan Swift
