The Cherry Creek School District serves more 54,000 students and is nationally recognized for excellence in academics, athletics, the arts and activities.

We educate more than 51,000 children and serve over 300,000 residents in 108 square miles that spread across eight municipalities: Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Foxfield, Glendale, Greenwood Village and portions of Aurora, Englewood and Denver.

All of the schools in the Cherry Creek School District are in the top two categories of the Accreditation system developed by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Ninety-five percent of Cherry Creek schools are in the highest category, Accredited with Performance Plan, compared to 70% of schools statewide. Five percent of Cherry Creek schools (3 schools) are in the second highest category, Accredited with Improvement Plan, compared to about 18% of schools statewide. No Cherry Creek schools are in the bottom two categories.

Students consistently score well above the state averages on the Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) accountability tests, and above state and national averages on SAT and ACT exams.

The district has the third most National Board Certified teachers in the state of Colorado and
99.76% of teachers are Highly Qualified.

The graduation rate in the Cherry Creek School District is well above the state and national average and more than 85% of graduates go on the higher education. The Class of 2013 includes 27 National Merit Finalists, four National Merit Hispanic Scholars, 14 Daniels Fund Scholars, three Boettcher Scholars and six military academy appointees.

During their high school years, members of the Class of 2013 excelled in academics, athletics, the arts and activities. During their senior year, 1,904 students were enrolled in one or more Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate class.

Up to 85% of our students at all levels participate in some co-curricular activity. Members of the Class of 2013 won team or individual state championships in a myriad of sports and activities, including DECA and Speech and Debate. They earned All-State honors in band, choir, jazz band and orchestra. Students also performed a wide variety of classic and contemporary plays and musicals.

But perhaps their greatest accomplishment is the fact that they made their school, community and world a better place by devoting tens of thousands of hours to helping others through community service.

This year, we welcome the Class of 2026. When five-year olds arrive in our schools, they are provided high-quality, rigorous instruction with a solid foundation to be successful in literacy, mathematics and the arts. As our students transition to middle school and later high school, they expand their solid foundation into opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) curriculum in all content areas. In addition, they have the opportunity to participate in advanced and honors coursework with a focus on inquiry-based learning.
