The Children’s Action Committee (CAC) advocates for Mendocino County’s community to prevent and respond to children abuse. The members of CAC engage our community on how to prevent abuse and neglect through public awareness and ensures that our children are safe and healthy in mind, body, and spirit.
The Children’s Action Committee is primarily focused on:
•Developing grassroots support
•Educating and training the public
•Building awareness on how people can prevent child abuse
•Creating ways for our community members to get involved
Our membership consists of many community leaders, parents, child advocates, and mid-level staff as well as leaders in the public and private nonprofit fields, such as:
CASA of Mendocino County • Redwood Children’s Services • FIRST 5 Mendocino • Mendocino County Health & Human Services Agencies • Family Resource Centers • County Office of Education • Tapestry Family Services Parent Advocates • Parent Partners • Youth Leaders
