CHART seeks to support and assist families, through Christian ideals and principles, engaged in the challenge of educating their children at home, ministering both to the parents' needs and to the students' needs.
CHART meets at New Covenant Church in Thomasville, Ga., in the gym, the 2nd Thurs of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, and April from 8:30a.m. - 12p.m.. Our classes are from 1st -12th grade. A nursery and preschool is also provided for our children. We are an all volunteer 501C3 Corporation. We provide classes for the first hour with a break for snacks and P.E. for the second hour. The third hour we offer a different class. Without the volunteering of our parents, we wouldn't be what we are, but we do give our parents a break room where they can gather, socialize, share in our "free table," and snack on some food. Membership benefits are too numerous to mention all, but some of the them are these: We offer end of the year testing that is required for the state of Georgia, once a month field trips, an Archery Club associated with NASP, and we also sponsor an Interact Service club.
