Coastal VA elite soccer training is an organization that gives female soccer athletes the opportunity to receive training and coaching on specific skills.
My name is Lindsay Wicher and I am the Director of Coaching for the girls' side of a travel club in Newport News. I am also a third grade teacher. My first love was always soccer. I grew up playing for different travel teams but found a home on the Richmond Strikers. That road led me to committing to Santa Clara University on scholarship to play the game I love. I ended up transferring to University of Richmond and playing for them my last three years. After graduating I knew I wanted to get into coaching. I have enjoyed every minute of coaching my girls' team the past three years. I have done private individual training sessions and camps before but I wanted to attempt to reach more families and athletes that would be interested in a small group setting for individualized training sessions. This dream of mine stemmed from receiving private training while I was growing up. It was a similar atmosphere, small group of players that allowed for individual growth as well as competition and motivation. Coastal VA elite soccer training is an unique organization developed to focus on the individual athlete. The athletes participating in these training sessions are placed in small training groups with a maximum of 7 players. Having a small number of players allows each player to receive individual coaching that will best meet their needs. Each session will be comprised of any and all of the following aspects of the game: small sided games, technical ball skills, tactical game scenarios, as well as strength and conditioning. There will be one session per week that is 90 minutes. The cost will be $25.00/session. Players will need to commit to a minimum of 1 month of sessions. This would reserve a spot for your daughter in the training group that entire month.
