The sixth Annual Concerts at Norcross Point is located at the head of Maranacook Lake in Winthrop off of Bowdoin St/Memorial Drive next to the Boat Landing
We are pleased to present the preliminary line up of this 2015 summer concert series, brought to you once again by the Town of Winthrop, The Winthrop Area Federal Credit Union, and Kennebec Savings Bank. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, or the non-return of contracts, these are your performers:
June 28- Hambone- excellent local jam band to start off the summer!
July 5'th- The Band Apollo- experimental, innovative and catchy popular club band.
July 12'th- Rain Date (let's hope we don't need it)
July 19'th- DAVE GUTTER! solo- this front man for such well known (in Maine and beyond) bands as Rustic Overtones and Paranoid Social Club will be sharing some of his newest (and richest) songwriting, up close and personal!
July 26-Primo Cubano! Latin lovers show up for this one!
August 2: Sons of Bes (made a brief appearance in 2014, back again for an encore)
August 9: Rain Date (let us hope for nothing but sunshine this summer!)
August 15: The Veayo Twins- very popular local duo will perform on the same date that coincides with the annual Winthrop Art Walk and the Winthrop BBQ. It is our ONLY Saturday concert. Great day to be in Winthrop!
Aug. 16: Simons and Goodwin are in town to help you unwind from the previous day's activities. www.simonsandgoodwin.com
August 23: The Wicked Blues Band- mostly original blues songs, with some covers to get you moving.
August 30: Cowboy Billy and Malinda Liberty- Very popular country band, for all the country enthusiasts who've been begging me for some REAL country. Also does a bit of rockin'. You may know Malinda as the artist who did "The Maine Christmas song". Don't Miss It!
More description of the bands music and websites to follow as soon as all contracts are sent out and received back. This is just a planning purposes only list. Please make your plans to spend time with us in the sunshine! At Winthrop, WE PLAY OUTSIDE!
