CUI Forensics (Speech & Debate) is concerned about succeeding to develop students who are wise, honorable and cultivated.
It is wonderful to win trophies, but Concordia University’s Forensics (Speech and Debate) Team is about more than plastic, metal and fake marble. While we are about the business of succeeding competitively, CUI Forensics is more concerned about succeeding to develop students who are wise, honorable and cultivated. Spend a few minutes and learn a bit more about what makes CUI Forensics special.
Why We Are Here
When you join the CUI Forensics Family, you become part of a group of people who support and care for one another, and try to love one another as Christ loves us. We think of ourselves as a smart, articulate, hard-working family. Research demonstrates that forensics programs enhance communication skills (Colbert & Biggers, 1985), research skills (Hunt, 1994), writing and organizational skills (Matlon & Keele, 1984), critical thinking skills (Allen, Berkowitz & Louden, 1995), increases student’s knowledge of the world (Shroeder & Shroeder, 1995) and enhances the classroom experience (Sprague, 1990). Concordia’s program will help you excel in all of these areas.
