WHERE WE'VE BEEN
Cyril's esthetique' opened in Forty Fort 21 years ago by Freddie Melvin, an aesthetican/makeup artist and at that time was the 1st & only "skin only" salon in the area offering the most progressive and latest in skin care technology, makeup and makeup services.
Cyril's also was the leader treating acne with remarkable results that led to The Acne Clinic which was devoted exclusively to the treatment and management of teenage & adult acne, with clients traveling from New York, Philadelphia and Maryland.
As consultant, Freddie worked with Lancome & Ultima II, Cosmetics, Miss Pennsylvania, Miss Teen Pennsylvania and has been the "go to" guy when the Goo Goo Dolls tour has come through the Wyoming Valley. He has been asked to speak at several high schools, cosmetology schools, modeling agencies, universities and various organizations on topics related to the skin, makeup and makeup in an office environment.
In addition, Fred wrote a column for "Concerning Women" magazine and published a newsletter called "Complexions" & received recognition from Dermascope Magazine for achievement in "Quest for Knowledge"
Through 19 of the 21 years Freddie has won several awards for makeup as well as photography and Cyril's esthetique' grew to 3 locations, Forty Fort, Pocono and West Pittston.

More recently, Cyril's has refocused it's efforts and taking Bridal Makeup to the next level offering, "2-U", a concept and goal that was 20 years in the making.
In the past going to a brides home for hair & makeup presented challenges in setting up a work area in kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, outside decks/patios, even cellars. This meant dealing with limited spaces and lighting situations. The solution? Create a mobile studio with the space & lighting devoted hair & makeup, "On Location."
The closing of 2 locations and later a flood destroying the third made it easy to focus in one direction.......where the obsession is, makeup! It's a Sickness. I know!
