For over 110 years the Yonkers Domino Sugar refinery has been making sugar on the banks of the Hudson River. We provide the key ingredient that helps bakers everywhere show their families just how much they care.

Each year dozens of vessels deliver more than 460,000 pounds of raw sugar up the Hudson where floating cranes unload the raw sugar to be stored briefly in large warehouses before being refined. The Domino Sugar’s Yonkers refinery makes over three million pounds of sugar a day. Our products are sent by bulk and package trucks—more than 70 a day— to food makers and to your grocery store shelf. Our strength is in our people. We employ 280 people at the refinery and sustain an additional 138 jobs through trucking, terminal operations, cargo handling, tugboat operators, and pilots.
