South Indian food specializing in dosas.
A dosa is a fermented rice and lentil pancake that's crispy, tangy, and delicious.
Our food is gluten free.
Dosa Kitchen is Vermont’s only South Indian eatery, a food truck turned outdoor restaurant overlooking the Connecticut River in downtown Brattleboro, Vermont. The truck is the vision of Nash Patel, who grew up eating dosas in Hyderabad, India, and Leda Scheintaub, cookbook author and lover of dosas and other fermented foods.
Our farm to table ethos makes us unique in the world of ethnic cuisine. We offer from-scratch dosas, from the traditional masala dosa (Indian-style mashed potato dosa) to free-range chicken curry dosa, a daily vegan curry dosa, and our signature dosa dog, a thick dosa wrapped around a 100 percent beef organic hot dog finished house-fermented mustard, sauerkraut, and pickles.
We use organic oils, coconut, and dairy, favor local meats and produce, and never use factory farmed meat.
