Mr. Doug Kilgore is the former founder and Principal Broker of Windhill Realty, a firm founded in 2004 with offices in Manchester NH and Ipswich MA, and which in 2009, was awarded the Best MA Real Estate Website Design award. A skilled negotiator and crafter of creative transactions, Mr. Kilgore has hands on experience in real estate development, investment real estate, and property management and carries the designation of CBR (certified buyer representative). He has been an investor and licensed real estate broker for nearly a decade.

Prior to his entrepreneurship in real estate, Mr. Kilgore enjoyed a successful stint with a major high tech firm where his responsibilities included project management, sales and marketing systems development, and business process reengineering.

Kilgore got his start in real estate after enduring a not so pleasant experience working with agents to purchase his first investment properties. “I just couldn’t believe that poor level of service that I was receiving, and the relative lack technical sophistication I observed in the agents. The experience got me to thinking about the kind of firm and agents that I would like to work with, especially with income properties where applying an analytical approach to real estate gives you an extra edge in your decision making, and employing technology along with a proven project management methodology could produce efficient, repeatable, satisfying customer experiences.” That vision ultimately grew into a full-fledged career that featured the successfully founding of Windhill.

Having successfully grown and spun off his old firm, Mr. Kilgore now brings his experience to the Bean Group and he still sees the real estate industry as a perfect place to incorporate new technology. “In the end it’s still about putting people together with properties,” says Kilgore, “but the Bean Group’s use of the internet, SEO, social media, and other best of breed agent productivity tools, streamlines the process for our clients, and improves the overall experience for everyone. A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Kilgore is a 1988 graduate of the University of NH and holds a BS in Business Administration. He also attends Southern NH University part time in pursuit of his MBA. He is active in and past Treasurer of the Deerfield Community Church (http://www.deerchurch.org), and is the current Treasurer of the Scots' Charitable Society of Boston (http://www.scots-charitable.org) which, founded in 1657 it is the oldest charity in the western hemisphere. He is also a past president of the alumni board of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity at UNH (http://www.phikaps.org). In his spare time, he enjoys being politically active with his oldest son, camping, hiking, 4x4 off-roading, and spending time with his family.
