Downtown Skokie and the Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie (IMODS).

The Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie (IMODS) is an ad hoc committee consisting of business, property owners and concerned citizens located within Skokie's identified downtown development district. There are approximately 40 committee members who share the vision.

Since virtually all of IMODS members live or work in Skokie's downtown development district, IMODS was created to support Skokie's Committee on Downtown Development and to propose ideas for downtown development from a business and resident point of view. Although none of IMODS members are professional economic developers, it's members have a wide variety of skills and talents that are critical for the success of Skokie's downtown development plans.
