We strive to integrate faith, reason and justice for all of our over 4,000 students in undergraduate, graduate, Seminary and accelerated adult programs. Eastern University was named to the Templeton Honor Roll of Character-building Colleges and the Honor Roll of Exemplary First-year Programs. Eastern University has an interdenominational Christian student body and is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA.

Eastern University is a Christian university dedicated through teaching and learning, scholarship, service, spiritual formation, student development and stewardship to the preparation of undergraduate, theological and graduate students for thoughtful and productive lives of Christian faith, leadership and service. There are several divisions of Eastern University including Palmer Theological Seminary, Esperanza College, the Templeton Honors College and the Campolo College of Graduate and Professional Studies.
