At 660 Country Way stands a pristine white church with steeple tall, pointing to the heavens above. Our community church is an amazing place.
During the week and on Sundays her doors swing open wide with welcoming arms. Seasonal wreaths adorn the old wooden doors. She is a sacred place and space, a true sanctuary to the weary traveler. From her altar to her front steps she is ready for community service in a moment’s time.
Lights are turned on and stained glass windows sparkle in radiant color. The beautiful well-known hymns heard in the sanctuary calm the troubled soul. Folks gather for fellowship, prayer, caring, and sharing. Weddings and baptisms, funerals and services of celebration bid welcome to any and all.
Season upon season she stands, ready to welcome each passerby. Children laugh, pray, and learn in her busy rooms. Her welcoming doors ask not of one’s ethnicity or social location, but an embracing “whosoever will, come.”
