The commitment of the FBC is to reach out to our community and world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Positive change occurs as people come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Our vision to do this is intentional through weekly visitation, witness training, and ministry through all the other ministries of our church.

We also commit to missions through organizations such as Woman's Missionary Union, Rachel Henry Women on Mission, Mission Friends, Girls In Action, Royal Ambassadors, Sylva Belles, and Men's Ministry. Our "global" mission ministry is carried out through mission trips and the cooperative program of the Southern Baptist Convention.

A MINISTRY OF THE ACADEMY

We have a dynamic Kindergarten Program Monday through Friday for ages 2-5. This ministry is Biblically based and seeks to develop Christian character in the lives of boys and girls. Our mission is to glorify God by providing academic excellence in a Distinctively Christian Environment. We meet all the state requirements and have a well trained and reputable staff.

A MINISTRY OF RECREATION/FELLOWSHIP

We believe ministry should be to the total person and we seek to provide various opportunities for growth through fellowship and recreation.

Our most popular activity is softball. Our church provides for a Christian league and association among many area churches.

Through regular fellowships for age groups as well as the entire family, we minister to one another and reach out to others.

A MINISTRY FOR STUDENTS

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." John 7:37

Wednesday: On Wednesday nights we have a worship service just for students in 6th through 12th grade that meets at 6:14. Our bank leads in worship and we study truth found in the Bible. We also mix in some other random thing...sometimes we pray for people in need, sometimes we see a funny video, etc. We would love to see you at 6:14 in the youth room on the second floor!

Sunday AM: Sunday School will assemble at 9:30 in the youth room on the second floor and then break into different classes. Currently we have on class for all middle school and high school girls, a middle school guys class, and a high school guys class.

Sunday PM: On Sunday PM we meet for Discipleship in the youth room on the second floor from 6pm to 7pm.

Events: Throughout the year we have special events that challenge students to serve others and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

A MINISTRY FOR CHILDREN

"Let the little children come to me, and not forbid them: for such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10:14

Children are a gift of the Lord (Psalm 127:3), a special treasure and the future of the Church. Our objective is to come along side parents in support and encouragement, providing a nurturing environment for these precious one that reflects the love of Christ and the truth of God's Word.

Weekly, we begin with Bible study on Sunday morning for ages 2 years old and up. The children are taught biblical truth through studying Bible stories that reinforce values being taught at home, the security of Christ's love and enhance spiritual growth.

Annually, we have various activities directed primarily toward children and their families. The Fall Festival, Spring Children's Emphasis Day and Summer Vacation Bible School are to mention a few.

A MINISTRY OF MUSIC AND SENIOR CITIZENS

Our full grade music program provides ministry opportunities for all ages, from age 3 through Senior Adults. Our Music Ministry is dedicated to providing uplifting, God centered music for our church.

Our Senior Adult Ministry provides opportunities for fellowship among Senior Adults. These opportunities include a monthly luncheon with a program, Wednesday morning Bible study, one day trips and other events.

A MINISTRY OF EDUCATION

Believing that the study of God's Word should be a great priority, FBC offers various opportunities for Christian growth through Bible study. We believe that Christians need to understand and apply the Bible in everyday life.
