Scioto Counties first ever Half Marathon Full Marathon and Ultra Marathon

Fitness Plus 24's First Day of Winter Marathon/50K

Come join in for Scioto County's first marathon/ultra running event. The course is located at Riverside Park in West Portsmouth and will consist of multiple loops- Each loop is less then 2 miles with an elevation gain of 80 feet per loop. 50K will be 16 loops. The course is all trail and grass except for a very small section upon arriving back to the shelter house to begin each loop. PLEASE REMEMBER YOU MUST REGISTER BY NOVEMBER 1st TO GUARANTEE A FINISHER JACKET. THESE ARE UNISEX ASICS AND RUN LARGE

Event start time

Start time will be 7:30am with the course closing at 4pm. Packet pick up will be the morning of the race starting at 6:45 and the night before between 5-7pm

Whats Included

All entrants will receive a 16oz drinking glass and goody Bag with a fitness plus 24 towel and other surprises inside
Finishers only will receive a ASICS Jacket valued at $65.00....these are unisex sized and for females they do run large Due to the cost of the event and the cost of the swag we will not be able to exchange any sizes - the smallest is an XS - please register before November 1st to guarantee a finisher jacket -The jacket is your finisher medal....if you are one that prefers the bling please specify and we will make you a hand made finisher medal INSTEAD of the jacket.
There will be overall male and overall female awards as well as age group awards - at this time we are unsure if we are able to go 3 deep in age groups

Weather

Its Southern Ohio and what can I say about the weather...it can be anything!! Last year we held this event as a Fat Ass style and we had unseasonable warm temps at almost 70 degrees with heavy rains the day before and showers on and off during the race which caused lots of fun mud on the course!! Typical weather in December in Portsmouth is mid 40's
