The chartered non profit 501(c)3 Citizens Support Organization (CSO) supporting Park operations.
The Friends of St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is the official Citizens Support Organization of the park-sponsored by the Florida Park Service.
Membership dues and funds raised by the Friends are dedicated exclusively toward the mission and goals for the St. Joseph Peninsula State Park.
Friends also support the Florida State Constitution Convention Museum Memorial park located in the City of Port St. Joe. This memorial museum commemorates the drafting of the Florida Constitution.
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park accommodates people with diverse interests. Campers and daily visitors alike can enjoy crystal white beaches, swimming, snorkeling, wading, sunbathing, a marina, boating, biking, kayaking, birding, wildlife viewing, hiking and walks along a pristine beach or a bay side trail. It is the variety of habitat such as beach dunes, bay side sea grasses, marshes, pine scrub, pine flatwoods and maritime hammock areas that create such a wonderfully natural playground.
