Gastroparesis and Intestinal Pseudo-Obstruction Patients of Pennsylvania - (888) 874-7228

G-PACT sponsored page aimed at spreading news related to GP/CIP events in PA and connecting PA patients to each other.

G-PACT is a very patient-oriented non-profit. We recognized in 2001 that while there were limited research studies into DTP, there were no programs available to help patients get through the challenging times now and have coping mechanisms unti a cure is found.

Our multiple free programs provide patients with a variety of resources they can use to educate, cope, and make life easier in dealing with DTP as we continue to search for a cure.

G-PACT is an organization with a sense of humor, hope, and a positive outlook. We work on behalf of patients and do not sell out to large corporations for the sake of funding. We are personable and connect with patients. Most of us have the conditions ourselves so we truly understand and can relate to the challenges of life with this.

We do not only focus on the factual information of DTP in itself, but also deal with all aspects of it including the issues of depression, pet, art and music therapy, alternative options, the fears, and provide information on resources available and how to get on SSDI if needed, and a range of issues that come with dealing with a chronic, invisible illness.

We reach out to all ages and all populations from babies to the elderly caregivers, patients, professionals, the media, and general population. We established August as DTP awareness month and provide many opportunities for patients to get even more involved in awareness and advocacy.

G-PACT is considered to be the "poster child" organization for DTP and patients usually come to us first for any assistance, after a new diagnosis, and our information is so broad that it reaches out to all severities. We can be found on facebook at www.facebook.com/GPACT and maintain that site on a daily basis.
