Gates Automotive Group was founded in 1928 by L.O. Gates here in Southbend/Mishawaka. In the over 85 years since the founding we have been passed down in the family from L.O. to Van Gates, onto Bill and Larry Gates, to our current family members, Joel Gates and Matt Helmkamp. Over our many years our goal has always been to serve our community with not only high quality cars, but with our respect and outreach. We have and will continue to be highly involved in our community and local areas.
