GEM Electric Cars are Street Legal Low Speed Vehicles. The are available in six models: 2, 4 and 6 Passenger and a Short Bed Utility Vehice, a Long Bed Utility Vehicle, and an Extra Duty Long Bed Utility.
GEM's go 30 miles on a charge. They get the economic equivalent of 150 mpg. It takes about 8 hours to recharge the car. GEM cars have been produced since 1998 and over 40,000 are on the road around the world. The cars get 30 miles on a charge and are entirely electric, powered by a 72 volt battery.
