I got my first camera when I was in high school. I still remember that little 35mm Fuji. It was perfect and I took a lot of pictures, and used a lot of film!

Some of the best picture memories I have are from my Grandfather. He always had his camera, so maybe my love of taking pictures stemmed from his. Of course, he was taking pictures to prove how big of fish he caught. That is what he taught all of us, to enjoy the little moments and to find beauty all around you, even if it is the form of a rainbow trout.

Fast forward, a year or two, and now my camera goes every where with me. You can find me sitting with my front door wide open on a cold night for the first big storm of the year, or carrying my big bag around the baseball fields, or just in the car when I am driving because something may possibly catch my eye.

I love capturing the real moments in our lives. Capturing a personality, to me, is more important than the perfect smile or pose. We are always looking for that one perfect picture, and to me, the perfect picture is the one that makes it seems as if that moment in time is happening all over again.

And if it does that, the picture really is worth a thousand words.
