Having my first image published at 14, I continued as a freelance photographer for newspapers in the Chicago area. After years of film & fine art black and white portraiture I now create images that showcase the vibrant colors of our world!
“Aimlessly Wandering” is how I often describe how my art is created. Preferably these travels commence on two wheels; a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Motorcycle. I pack up with my photo equipment, camping supplies, and hit the old highways; often without a destination, and hope to be inspired....and I usually am.
Rarely do I have set plans or set visions on what I'm going to capture. As I traverse the country, I let my mind wander.....Looking everywhere: From the majestic vistas to the decrepit shanty’s. And when I encounter a new “image”, I stop and capture.
Having my first image published at the age of 14, I continued throughout high school working as a freelance photographer for weekly and daily newspapers in the Chicago area. Wanting to expand my mind and creativity, I attended the University of Missouri..one of the top schools for photojournalism in the country.
After years of film and fine art black and white portraiture, I've changed directions....and am now creating images that showcase the vibrant colors of our world!!
I prefer to travel solo, as it allows me the freedom to go my own way. A friend once described my style as “Safari”.......I shoot what I see: I ride, I envision, I create.
I utilize Canon FF Cameras and the best professional Lenses - Canon L series.
