Greyhound Welfare is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that places retired racing greyhounds throughout the metropolitan Washington DC area, including MD and VA.
Greyhound Welfare is a 100% foster home group: all the greyhounds live in real homes until they are placed. This helps us to learn more about the individual dogs as well as teach them some basics about their new world. Knowing the dogs well helps us pair up the most suitable dog with a given adopter. This ensures a smoother transition for dog and adopter as they introduce a new member to their family.
