Hagel 1891 is a 75-seat restaurant that reflects the history of the Hagel building in downtown Mt. Sterling IL. We serve lunch and dinner Tuesday-Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Lunch items are priced under $10, and dinner entrees will range from $12 to $28 for the Filet Mignon.

Chef John Kellogg leads the kitchen with a passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients. The menu will feature signature items such as hand-made crab cakes, smoked trout spread, classic French onion soup gratin, porchetta, and shrimp & grits. Hagel 1891 will also offer nightly specials including hand-made pasta dishes and fresh seafood flown in every other day.

Our large banquet room upstairs is available for luncheons, dinners, parties, business meetings and other private events. The room can accommodate up to 100 guests.
