We had a vision for Highway 49 Radio from the start, and what really started it was a thought. Casey had a strong opinion about the way radio had become so corporately controlled and how the music you could hear played was so unfulfilling. She literally followed that thought to the KVGC Studio and shared it with anyone who would listen. She walked out with a chance to host her own one-hour radio show and the opportunity to play the music she wanted to hear. Her commitment to the importance of music, of listening to it, playing it, sharing it...and how much it impacts our lives.
