The Humane Society of Yuma operates Yuma County's only animal shelter. It also operates an offsite low-cost spay and neuter clinic.

Posts advertising the availability of pets - whether for free or for sale and no matter how well-intentioned - are not permitted and will be removed. The Humane Society of Yuma believes that ensures that pets up for adoption have had their proper shots, have been altered and have had behavior testing prior to adoption. Additionally adopters must go through an application process that attempts to ensure our pets are only adopted to responsible homes that are prepared to adopt a pet.
