Northbrook Baptist Church Children's Ministry
On Sunday mornings at 9:15 am we have children's worship, which we like to refer to as IGNITE. IGNITE is for children in Kindergarten-5th grade. We gather together as a large group to praise God through song, prayer and innovating Bible teaching through interactive and engaging Bible stories. We then split into age-based groups where children discuss how the day's topic applies to them. This is done through a variety of activities to reach all types of learners. Each month we discuss a different virtue, which is a characteristic of God that we as Christians need to instill in our lives.
On Wednesday night at 6:30 pm we have our Wednesday activities. The first 30 minutes we gather as a large group for eXtremeTrek in which we learn how and why we worship God through song and motions. Following this time, the children split up into age appropriate groups. Kids participate in Bible Skills in which they learn the books and divisions of the Bible, memorize scripture, and how scripture applies to their lives. This is done through a variety of methods to reach every type of learner.
