We have owned our farm for six years now and it seems like just yesterday when we could actually call it ours. I guess the old saying that time flies when you’re having fun really is true. Jack has been “a grower” all his life, and spent some time working in commercial greenhouses that specialized in producing wholesale tomato and vegetable plants that were sold to local garden centers. Robin grew up on a farm in Oregon where her family farmed 160 acres of cherry trees and also grew just about everything they ate. Considering our backgrounds and interests it was natural for us establish a garden, and once again, start growing our own food.
The garden grew over the years and we began supplying family, friends, and neighbors with our all natural, hand grown produce. As the garden grew so did the time commitment until it was time to decide on whether we wanted to keep expanding the garden and share our produce at the Farmers Market and through individual arrangements.
Another old saying states that if you do something you love you’ll never work a day in your life. Jack says he’s not sure about the never part of that saying, but the doing what you love part sure makes it more rewarding. We feel honored to be able to grow food the way it was meant to be grown and make it available to all who are looking for absolutely naturally grown, locally raised, fresh produce.
