The League’s 2014-2015 membership includes the following:
- 251 Actives: Members managing the organization and fulfilling community volunteer commitments
- 200 Sustainers: Members serving in advisory roles and/or providing much needed support for League activities
- 45 Provisionals: New members engaged in an intensive one-year training program
The Junior League of The Woodlands, Inc. began in 1983 as the Junior Service League of North Houston. On February 25, 1990 it was accepted as the Junior League of North Harris County, Inc., becoming the 277th Junior League to join The Association of Junior Leagues International Inc. (AJLI). In September of 2014, the League officially changed its name to the Junior League of The Woodlands, Inc. (JLTW).
