The Kansas To Kenya Connection
The Kansas To Kenya Connection was incorporated as a Kansas not-for-profit corporation in September 2011. It provides missions in Kenya and East Africa which deliver quality education and healthcare to residents there.
Education efforts include health, economic development and secondary school projects in rural Kenya at the present time. Future projects include adding grades to the current Glory Missionary Girls Secondary School until it delivers education from Form 1 - 4 (Freshman through Senior High School). At that time, plans have been developed to open a Primary and Pre-Primary School on the campus.
Pam Smith was born and raised in Kansas and travelled to Kenya for the first time in 2010. During her visit, she learned firsthand about the dire poverty, lack of healthcare and education and other stressors in the lives of rural Kenyans. She joined with other American Christians to form the Kansas To Kenya Connection in order to meet some of these needs, especially in the Rongo and Migori Districts of Nyanza Province, Kenya. This website will introduce you to the charities of K2K Connection, a charitable organization with 501 ( C ) 3 status from the IRS.
