The Kerri Art Studio & Gallery was created in 2010 through the Horizons Supported Employment & Options program (SEO) to provide a working studio and exhibit space for Kerri Quirk.
Since then, the gallery has also served as a regular exhibit space for local & regional artists and a resource for elementary school educators.
A crucial function is providing a place for Horizons to mentor young people supporting individuals with an interest in the arts who have developmental disabilities. Kerri Gallery is used by a number of visual artists, musicians and dancers supported by Horizons. Their support staff, along with Kerri’s, are all employed through the SEO and Supported Living (SL) programs at Horizons.
The gallery’s location on Main Street in the heart of Willimantic means it operates as a popular venue during the street festivals and civic events regularly taking place downtown.
